Online assessments

A timed test you open from a link.

Choice questions are marked automatically. Written answers are read and marked by a person at the company.

  1. 01

    Open the link

The company emails you a private link. It works once and opens the assessment in that browser, so use the computer you'll take it on.

  2. 02

    Read the rules

You see how long you have, the deadline, and only the rules this assessment uses. Tick that you agree to continue.

  3. 03

    Check your devices

If the company asks for a camera or microphone, your browser asks for permission and you see a preview before you start.

  4. 04

    Take the test

The timer starts when you click Start Assessment and keeps running if you leave the page. Your answers save as you go.

  5. 05

    Submit

Submit when you're done. When time runs out, your answers are submitted for you.

Video interviews

A call in your browser, with nothing to install.

Technical interviews may include a shared code editor where you write and run code with the interviewer.

  1. 01

    Details

The link in your invitation shows the company, the position, the time and who you'll meet. You can join from 15 minutes before the start. You don't need an account.

  2. 02

    Your name

Enter the name the interviewers will see.

  3. 03

    Consent

The page lists what this interview uses: recording, AI notes, integrity checks. Tick each one to continue.

  4. 04

    Devices

Pick your camera, microphone and speaker and check the preview. Technical interviews with integrity checks ask you to share your entire screen.

  5. 05

    Waiting room

You wait until an interviewer lets you in. If your connection drops, you can go back in while the interview is still on.

Before you start

What you'll need.

If the camera or microphone won't start, close other apps that use them, allow them in your browser's site settings and reload the page.

What is monitored

Only what the company turned on, and only what you were told.

Checks help the company see that the work was yours, and review everyone the same way. Every rule is shown to you before you start.

A signal is a moment for a person to look at, not proof of anything. Glasses, low light or a camera angle can cause one. The software never rejects anyone because of a signal.

Tab and window switches
Recorded with their times in both. In an assessment, the company can set a number of switches after which the test submits itself; you're told before you start.
Full screen, copy and paste
If an assessment uses them: leaving full screen and attempts to copy, paste or right-click are recorded.
Photos
If the camera is on: a few photos at random moments in an assessment, or one every few minutes in an interview. Assessments don't record audio or video.
Face check
Your browser checks that one face is in view. This runs on your device; only the result is sent. There is no face recognition and no reading of emotions.
Recording and transcript
If an interview is recorded: your video, voice and shared screen, and a transcript made during the call.
Code and pastes
In a technical interview, the code you write and its results are saved, and a large paste into the editor is noted.

Questions

The company that invited you is your contact.

The company runs the hiring process and decides; KASAUTI IQ provides the software. Use the contact in your invitation email.

Read how your information is handled in the interview privacy notice and the privacy notice.

Only people at the company that invited you whose role lets them review assessments or interviews for that position. Other companies using the product can't see them.

No. If you agree to AI notes, the transcript and the interviewers' notes are summarised into a draft. A person at the company reviews it, edits it and makes the decision. AI doesn't mark assessments.

To join, you tick each item the interview lists. If you're not comfortable with one of them, contact the company before the interview to ask what else is possible.

The company that invited you, before you start. They choose the assessment's length and rules, such as full screen or the camera, and can send you a new link.

Contact the company. They can allow you back in with a new link, and you continue with the time you had left.

Contact the company, using the contact in your invitation email. They hold the recording, transcript and report and can review them. Integrity signals are only prompts for a person to check, and can be false alarms.

Each company sets how long recordings, photos, transcripts and reports are kept, within fixed limits, and they are then deleted automatically. To have your interview data deleted sooner, ask the company.

The assessment page confirms your answers were submitted but doesn't show a score. Ask the company if you'd like feedback.
