Accessibility

We design KASAUTI IQ to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. It hasn't been independently tested against that standard yet, so this page lists what is in place and what we know falls short.

What is in place

Built in from the shared components up.

Every screen is made from the same buttons, fields, tables and dialogs, so a fix in one place reaches every screen that uses it.

Keyboard navigation
Menus, dialogs, tabs, tables and forms work with the keyboard. Dialogs and menus are built on Radix UI primitives, which manage focus and close with Escape. The app's sidebar can be resized with the arrow keys.
Visible focus
Every button, link and control shows a gold focus outline when reached with the keyboard.
Labels and errors
Form fields have visible labels. Errors appear beside the field they belong to, are linked to it for screen readers, and the first invalid field gets focus when a form is submitted.
Contrast
Light and dark themes, or the system setting. Text and background colour pairs are checked against WCAG AA contrast in both themes by an automated test.
Colour is never the only signal
Statuses and ratings always carry a word as well as a colour.
Reduced motion
When your system asks for reduced motion, animations and transitions are switched off.
Structure
Pages use headings in order, landmarks and a declared language. This website has a Skip to Content link.

Known limitations

What we know isn't right yet.

We haven't had the website or the app independently audited, so we don't claim full conformance.

  1. 01

The signed-in app has no Skip to Content link yet; keyboard users tab through the sidebar first.

  2. 02

Automated checks use axe rules for WCAG 2.1 AA and cover only some screens. The criteria new in WCAG 2.2 haven't been checked separately.

  3. 03

Screen-reader testing hasn't been done for the video call, the shared code editor or the live transcript.

  4. 04

Assessments are timed, and a company can turn on full screen and block copy and paste. These rules can get in the way of some assistive technology. The company can switch them off for an assessment.

  5. 05

Integrity checks expect a camera and one face in view. They can raise false signals for some candidates.

  6. 06

The product illustrations on this website are drawn examples. Their content is in the page as text, but they aren't designed as data a screen reader should step through.

Report a problem

Tell us where you got stuck.

Send it through the contact form. We use each report to reproduce and fix the problem, and we update the list above as we learn of new ones.

What Helps Us Fix It

  • The page address, or the screen in the app
  • What you were trying to do
  • What happened instead
  • Your browser, device and any assistive technology you use

Taking an assessment or interview and need an adjustment, such as more time? Ask the company that invited you before you start; they set the rules. Information for candidates

See it with your own hiring process.

Tell us the roles you hire for. We'll walk through an assessment, an interview and its report, built around one of them.

  1. 1

We reply within one working day to agree a time and the roles to cover.

  2. 2

A 30-minute walkthrough of the product with your own positions.

  3. 3

A pilot if it fits with a defined group of candidates.
